Sperryville Trail Network Invasives Removal and Trash Pickup

The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection and the Sperryville Community Alliance are co-sponsoring a morning workday along the Sperryville trail network on Saturday, March 18, 2023. We’ll focus on a few portions of the trail in the vicinity of the Village.

Volunteers are needed to help with:
(1) invasive removal (e.g., cutting ivy on trees, removing bittersweet, honeysuckle, and multi-flora rose);
(2) spreading wood chips/mulch to inhibit invasive re-growth; and
(3) picking up trash along the trail

Please bring your water, gloves, tools and a 5-gallon bucket (to help spread wood chips). We’ll also have some gloves and tools on hand to borrow.

Come have fun, and help us continue to improve this much-loved community amenity! Refreshments and prizes for volunteers!
