Bri West joined PEC’s staff in July 2006. Bri is a lifelong resident of Fauquier County, graduating from Fauquier High School in 2000. She went on to receive a degree in Biology from the College of William and Mary. After college Bri worked as a Naturalist at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida in Naples.

Peter Krebs
Peter Krebs is working with the Charlottesville and Albemarle communities to plan and implement a network of trails and greenways. He is working with the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, local governments and groups to envision a better-connected, more prosperous and healthier community—and to chart a collaborative path forward.
Wilmot, Dawn
Dawn began working with the PEC January 2007 as the assistant to the President. Prior to employment with PEC, she worked with an international humanitarian relief organization that used aircraft to provide relief to suffering people around the world.
Parker, Tiffany
Tiffany (aka “Tiff”) was born and raised in eastern Loudoun County, where she grew up exploring the neighborhoods and nature along the Potomac River. She graduated from Virginia Tech’s College of Natural Resources and Environment, where she received her B.A. in Geography with a concentration in geospatial and environmental analysis, and a minor in psychology.
Chris Miller
Christopher G. Miller has served as The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) President since 1996. Mr. Miller is responsible for overall management and strategic planning for PEC, including its land conservation program, habitat restoration, rural economics, energy policy, land use policy, smart growth and transportation policies.
Rex Linville
Rex Linville is a land conservation professional with over 16 years of experience helping landowners protect property with voluntary conservation easements. He has been working in Albemarle and Greene Counties for The Piedmont Environmental Council since 2004 and prior to that worked with landowners in Maryland while at the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy.
Larson, Doug
Mr. Larson has returned to PEC as an advisor within our Development Department. Prior to his retirement in 2016, he served as a PEC Vice President for 16 years. In that position, he oversaw the fundraising efforts, communication program, special events and planned giving for the region.
Mike Kane
Michael Kane has more than 15 years of land conservation experience in the Mid-Atlantic region. In the late 1990s, Mike created the Bucks County (PA) Municipal Open Space Program and the Bucks County Natural Areas Program, two county-wide initiatives that successfully partnered with state and local governments and non-profit land trusts to identify and preserve productive farmland, critical natural habitats, and expand the amount of parkland in the county.
Adam, Karen Hunsberger
Karen has returned to PEC as a Data Coordinator within our IT Department. Prior to her retirement in 2016, she served as PEC’s Membership Director. While in that position Karen oversaw our database program which included managing our membership, as well as maintaining giving records, renewal notices and acknowledgments.
Julie Bolthouse
Julie grew up in Fairfax, Loudoun, and Clarke counties. After graduating from Clarke County High School she attended Virginia Tech receiving a B.S. in Fisheries Science with a minor in Watershed Management. Moving back to Loudoun with her husband, Evan, she went back to school to get her Masters in Urban and Regional Planning and a second Masters degree in Natural Resources.
