2022 Summer Fellows Return to the Piedmont
PEC’s Summer Fellowship Program is much more than an internship. This year’s program brought together 12 fellows — from Texas to Florida to Ohio to New Hampshire — virtually for six weeks and here in the Virginia Piedmont for two weeks of on-the-ground learning and exploration.
Kim Biasiolli
Kim joined the Piedmont Environmental Council in September of 2022, with over 20 years of experience working on biodiversity protection, natural resources management, and land conservation projects and initiatives.
Sarah Parmelee
Sarah Parmelee joined PEC in August of 2022 and covers land use and transportation issues in Culpeper County.

It was a tremendous honor to host author Terry Tempest Williams at our annual meeting in May. The event, a celebration of PEC’s 50th anniversary, was held at the beautiful Mistwood property in Orange County. A special shout out to Sheldon and Rita Clark for graciously hosting us!
