Currently serving as PEC’s Gilberts Corner Farm and Land Manager, Dana Melby joined the organization in 2018 to assist in launching the Community Farm at Roundabout Meadows. PEC’s properties in Gilberts Corner connect area residents with their food system, provide high-quality produce to area food pantries, exemplify soil health stewardship, and provide a platform for community engagement. Dana is thrilled to be supporting PEC in its work to create a hub of agriculture and land conservation in Loudoun County.

Growing up in the Shenandoah Valley, Dana was surrounded by agriculture and developed a passion for horticulture at a young age. Dana holds a Bachelor’s in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado. After a transformative experience studying subsistence agriculture in Samoa, she went on to pursue a Master’s in International Agriculture at Oklahoma State University.
