Jessica joined PEC in August 2024 as the Publications Assistant. Her work includes the production of the Piedmont View, and she has a passion for telling the stories that help people connect to the vital work that PEC is doing.

Jessica holds a B.A. in English Literature with concentrations in Creative Writing and Environmental Science & Policy from the College of William & Mary. A semester spent living in an ecovillage in Iceland changed the trajectory of her studies and showed her the impact a small group of dedicated people could have on the vibrancy and sustainability of a community. Prior to coming to PEC, she has worked in environmental consulting, sustainable packaging, and, most recently, at her local public library.

When she’s not writing, Jessica can be found hiking, riding her e-bike around town, reading, knitting, and hanging out with her husband Michael and their dog, Hazel.
