21st Annual Bluebell Walk on Cedar Run
April 7 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Join The Piedmont Environmental Council’s Julian W. Scheer Fauquier Land Conservation Fund for the 21st Annual Bluebell Walk on Cedar Run.
This family-friendly event is a delightful chance to walk amongst a beautiful streamside field of Virginia’s iconic and ephemeral bluebells on a private conserved property. Along the walk, hear from experts covering a wide range of topics including beavers, native meadow and riparian habitat restoration for birds, butterflies, and other critters, invasive species removal and more!
Please note, round trip the walk will be approximately one mile in length through fields. Please remember to wear sturdy shoes that are able to get dirty and bring your tall boots or waders — a special treat awaits those brave enough to wade across Cedar Run!
No dogs are allowed on this private property. There is no charge for this event. Donations are welcome for the Julian W. Scheer Fauquier Land Conservation Fund for continued land and water conservation efforts in Fauquier County.
The event is hosted by Mike and Margrete Stevens at Bonny Brook Farm in Catlett, Virginia.
