Digitization of Shenandoah National Park’s Condemnation Records in Madison County

Join PEC and the Madison County Historical Society for a public program on the digitization of condemnation records for the creation of Shenandoah National Park. Kristie Kendall, PEC’s Historic Preservation Coordinator will be moderating a panel that includes Victoria Garnett (former PEC Intern), Leeta Louk (Madison Circuit Court Clerk) and Kevin Hegg (Director of Digital Projects at James Madison University Libraries) that discusses the documents in stemming from the condemnation suit and showcases JMU’s website, Histories Along the Blue Ridge.
