Since opening its doors in 2002, Feast! owners Kate Collier and Eric Gertner have made promoting the work of local food artisans and producers a core part of the company's mission. Feast! is committed to offering customers the best in quality and service, providing local produce, meats, cheeses, wines and other gourmet foods. The unique local food offerings of Central Virginia are the inspiration for Feast's lunch cafe and catering menus, which include fresh dishes made with local meats, cheeses and produce. When consumers buy from Feast! they can enjoy the abundance of Virginia's landscape for themselves while keeping nearby farms and food producers viable.

The Piedmont Environmental Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the rural economy, natural resources, history and beauty of Virginia's Piedmont. PEC is working to increase the financial viability of local farm businesses and to support the farmers in our communities through the Buy Fresh, Buy Local campaign and Food Guide. The publication of the first Food Guide was made possible by a generous start-up grant from the Bama Works Fund. This new partnership with Feast! and its patrons will help create a sustainable revenue stream that ensures the Food Guide continues to be available to the community.
