Noted Author William Cronon to be Keynote Speaker
(Warrenton, Virginia - August 6, 2007) The Piedmont Environmental Council is pleased to announce that renowned author William Cronon will be the keynote speaker at PEC's annual meeting which will be held at the Salem Farm in Marshall, Virginia on Saturday, September 15. Cronon wrote "Uncommon Ground: Rethinking the Human Place in Nature" and other noted works.
"We are delighted to be able to hold our annual meeting in Marshall this year," said Doug Larson, Vice President of PEC. "The entire farm, which is under conservation easement, has wide sweeping views of the countryside. We are especially pleased that Mr. Cronon will be our keynote speaker for the event."
