Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll, a strenuous workout, great hikes abound in Loudoun County. Enjoy a walk or horseback ride and take in the views of the valleys from the Appalachian Trail, an abandoned lock system, forested trails & more.
Loudoun County provides a variety of opportunities to canoe, kayak, or fish. Recently opened parks along Goose Creek and the Potomac River provide more public access to the water, making it possible to fish or paddle long stretches of these waterways.
Loudoun County has miles of quiet, rural roads for bicycling. But if you want to stay off the public roads, there are other opportunities. The most notable is the W&OD Regional Park.
