PEC is working to reduce levels of toxic mercury. Dan Holmes has served on the mercury advisory group to the Department of Environmental Quality and participated in drafting the State Advisory Board report on mercury pollution controls for non-electric generating units (industry). We continue to educate citizens and lawmakers on the benefits strict controls for this toxic pollutant and eagerly await the current study of mercury pollution being conducted by the Department of Environmental Quality.
