Tim joined the PEC in October of 2009 after retiring from a 24 year career in investment management. A graduate of The College of William and Mary (BA '83) and Northeastern University (MBA '85), he spent the last 19 years as an analyst and portfolio manager at Capital Research and Management, which manages the American Funds. Having grown up in the rural Maryland exurbs of DC and then lived across the US and in London, Tim with his wife and three children settled in Fauquier County in 2000.

A long term appreciation of outdoor spaces and a commitment to protecting the environment, led Tim to the PEC. He will work on projects supporting the PEC and assist with strategic planning.
