I couldn't be happier to have the opportunity to live, work, and play in the area that I consider one of the most magical places I have ever seen.
Lila Warren grew up in Fauquier County, and spent most of her time outside riding horses, hiking, canoeing, and fishing in our beautiful Piedmont. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2009 with a double major in Environmental Science and Environmental Thought and Practice with a minor in Urban Planning. She participated in PEC's Fellowship program in the summer of 2008. In college, she was very active in the Outdoors Club and spent most of her weekends leading groups on backpacking, fly-fishing, and snowboarding trips throughout the year, teaching fellow outdoor-enthusiasts new skills to accompany those sports. After college, she worked in Vermont as a backcountry caretaker for the Green Mountain Club. During the winter, she lived in Colorado and spent her time snowboarding and driving horse-drawn sleighs for part-time work. She is thrilled to be the Coordinator for PEC's Fellowship program, and to be able to continue working in the field of environmental education for an organization that she has always admired.
