In another issue that has not yet been taken up for consideration by the County, the Luck Stone Corporation has contracted to purchase land in Clarke for a new quarry. Currently the company is conducting an in-depth analysis of the property to determine its suitability. Upon completion, if the property is deemed suitable, then we expect to see a proposal made to the County for one or more of the following: Comprehensive Plan amendment, Zoning Ordinance text amendment, Special Use permit.
