Land Use that Sustains

Valley Conservation Council promotes land use that sustains the farms, forests, open spaces,
and cultural heritage of the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia.

It's harvest time in the Valley...

Local foods help local farms.

Founded in 1990, Valley Conservation Council is a member supported, private, non-profit land trust and citizens organization. VCC now shares stewardship responsibility for over 14,000 acres of privately owned conservation land in 11 counties. Our partnerships with landowners, communities, and state and local agencies have built a strong base for future conservation.

Become a member of VCC and get involved in improving land use policies, assisting private land conservation, and ensuring the integrity of the Shenandoah region's landscapes, waters, and productive working lands.
